I’m a food-loving registered dietitian and mother of three. By day, I run the employee wellness program for a Fortune 50 Company in New York City. By night (and on the weekends), I’m a nutrition consultant for food companies and individuals, serving as an expert for the media, writing articles and columns for various publications, and speaking for professional and lay-public crowds.
I am the Nutrition Advisor for HAPPY FAMILY, an organic food company that produces premium baby and toddler foods. I co-wrote HAPPYBABY: An Organic Guide to Baby’s First 24 Months (HarperCollins, 2009) with HAPPYBABY’s Medical Advisor, Dr. Robert Sears.
I also, in recent history, have assisted Applegate Farms with media spokesperson work. (Note: I have not been paid to mention them on this blog. Any mentions here are independent of my work for them.)
I have a Bachelor’s in Nutrition from the University of Delaware, and I completed my supervised practice to become an RD at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville, VA. I have a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Maryland, and I currently sit on the Executive Committee of the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
